campaign. Planning is already underway for the 2010 McReady program so watch this web site for important information regarding
what promises to be another successful family severe weather preparedness program next April.

The McReady Weather Safety Show represents the efforts of
more than a dozen public-private partners and sponsors.
The McReady campaign is a public-private partnership designed to prepare families for emergencies, to increase awareness of
severe weather threats and to help build prepared communities. Each year, Gov. Brad Henry proclaims April "McReady Oklahoma Family Preparedness Month" and throughout the month the statewide severe weather preparedness campaign features displays in
McDonald's restaurants. Weather safety shows are held in schools throughout the state. Emergency managers and officials with
the National Weather Service hold weather radio programming events and still more McReady partners honor volunteers and host
open houses as part of the program.
